Network Printer Capture
The PC industry is migrating from RS-232 serial ports to network and USB
connections for communications between peripheral devices. This eliminates
the speed and distance limitations of the RS-232 connection.
To address this industry migration, Infinity Software Version 5.2 allows
Printer Capture events and reports to be sent over the network. The events
and reports are stored in a database. The new Unified Reports application
includes reports to view and print the events and reports from the Infinity
and eCreator Supervisor. Custom reports can also be developed with the
optional Unified Reports Report Creator.
