Mainframe Integration

 


Infinity Software Version 5.2 offers a new Mainframe Integration application, which integrates with the Infinity Windows© Operator. This new integration allows operators to pop up mainframe screens from the Infinity Windows Operator. Operators can enter data directly into the mainframe as part of their call processing functions. Operators no longer need separate mainframe-interface PCs to access mainframe data, saving operator time and equipment costs.

The mainframe screen can be configured to open automatically and pop to the foreground when an operator answers a call, or can be brought up on demand by the operator with the press of a button. For added convenience, the operator can toggle between the Windows Operator screen and the mainframe screen with simple keyboard commands.

During call handling, the Windows Operator application can look up information in the mainframe or ancillary application database and display the results of the look up on the appropriate pages, columns and rows of the mainframe screen. In addition, the Windows Operator can pass preprogrammed keystrokes into the mainframe to automate menu navigation and information look up.
