Did You Dig It? Amtelco’s Most Successful Seminar Yet

Amtelco held our annual Training & Leadership Seminar the week of September 14th, something all of us employees get very excited about each year, and this year we celebrated Amtelco’s 50th Anniversary, so it was extra special. We want to thank our attendees, customer presenters, keynote speaker Erica Olenski, Amtelco employees, and venue hosts who helped to make this event possible.

Erica started us out with the keynote presentation and shared her amazing story of perseverance and advocacy for her son. There was not a person present who was not impacted by this; it was powerful, and spoken about throughout the whole week. It reminded all of us of how important every piece of healthcare is, and the real importance of who we are working for, the patients. We have the power to improve healthcare for everyone if we each make an effort to improve things in our control; we all have a role to play.

As the week continued, the presentations, networking, and events were informative, thought-provoking, and fun. A very nice mix of Amtelco updates and training, customer experiences, and the panel discussions was great. Getting so many like-minded people together in one room is always awesome to watch. The idea-sharing flowed, and new possibilities developed. Some of the closing comments that have stuck with me were when someone said, “I felt heard,” and “I was able to talk with people who understand what I’m doing.” I have always enjoyed the networking part of Seminar week, and this really validated how important this is.

Amtelco’s nightly 50th Anniversary celebrations started at Camp Trippalindee on Monday night, where our Talk of the Decades journey began, followed by dinner and Music Video Bingo at the Tin Smith Tuesday night, and ended with dinner and a disco night to celebrate Amtelco’s 50th anniversary Wednesday evening. This year’s conference had a 1970s theme in recognition of Amtelco’s founding date in 1976, so attendees were encouraged to dress in their favorite clothes from the 70s and 80s for the Wednesday disco party. The participation was fantastic, and we had a blast! It was far out, man!

On behalf of everyone at Amtelco, I want to again give a huge “thank you” to all our customers and those who attended. You are what makes this conference so special and so inspiring each year. My tank is filled with happiness and gratitude. I’ve learned new things and had my “why” reaffirmed. I hope to see you all again next year. Let’s do great things!
